Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Tien Dang received his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with honors from McMaster University. With a rooted passion in helping the underserved, Dr. Dang enjoyed volunteering at local hospitals and food banks. Dr. Dang also spent time in Costa Rica and Panama with a group of physicians and dentists to provide care and education to local communities. Seeing the change that dentistry can make in people’s lives motivated Dr. Dang to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Dang completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the New York University College of Dentistry, one of the top ranked dental schools in the world. He graduated as one of the most clinically productive student doctors in his class of 400+ students. During that time, he was actively involved in the Patient Survivors of Torture (PSOT) program at Bellevue Hospital, NY, helping to restore broken teeth for patients who escaped as refugees from war-torn countries. Dr. Dang was also a student doctor aboard the NYU College of Dentistry Mobile Dental Van, Smiling Faces, Going Places Mobile Dental Van, where he brought dental care to public elementary schools across the five boroughs in New York.
After spending a lifetime in the north, Dr. Dang decided to start a new and warmer life in Houston. In the pursuit for clinical excellence for his patients, Dr. Dang is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists (AACD), American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA). Dr. Dang prides himself on leveraging the latest in dental materials science and technologies to provide the pinnacle of care.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an active supporter of local sports teams and charities.
